Present Simple Tense



This is a verb tense that is used to express actions that take place in the present and with a certain frequency, that is, every day, every morning, etc.



AFFIRMATIVE 






SPECIALS CASES


Examples:

  • I eat in Sarah´s restaurant everydays.
  • Michelle Enjoys her ice cream.
  • Camille gets a new Job.
  • Sean and Emily live in Park Avenue.
  • Daniel Made bags from Valentine.

Auxiliary DO

With the exception of the verb to be, verbs in modern English use the auxiliary Do to form questions and negative statements in the Simple Present.



In interrogative and negative mode is used auxiliary DO, although in the 3rd person singular DOES is placed as auxiliary and removes the "S" to the verb.

NEGATIVE


Examples:


  • do not [don't] Speak French.
  • He does not [doesn't] eat meat.
  • They do not [don't] drink tea.
  • Holly does not [doesn't] study with Miley.
  • Harry does not [doesn't] buy in Sally's Store


INTERROGATIVE



Examples:


  • Do You  Slept in Yeiri's home?
  • Does Shirley run in the morning?
  • Do Eric and Penelope Swim in the Olimpic Games?
  • Does Kyle Write the article?
  • Does Adam sing olimpic Stadium tonight?
